Centre for Ice and Climate – University of Copenhagen

The main activities of the centre for ice and climate centre are drilling and analysis of ice cores with the objective of understanding climate change in the past in order to improve our understanding of present and future climate change. The centre has led the international drilling projects GRIP, NGRIP, and NEEM that have led to comprehensive investigations into the climate of the past 128,000 years, corresponding to the most recent glacial-interglacial cycle.
