The British Antarctic Survey is the main agency for Antarctic scientific research in the United Kingdom. The cooperation between Jilin University and BAS began in 2016. Professor Robert Mulvaney has been invited to Jilin University for academic exchanges and lectures for many times, and doctoral students had been sent to the British Antarctic Survey for joint training, mainly participating in the research work of the British Rapid Ice Drilling Project (BAS RAID) in the oldest ice core program. Member also participated in the UK 2015/2016 summer Antarctic scientific expedition, participated in the field test of BAS RAID drilling tools, and jointly published academic publications.
