The cooperation between Jilin University and the Danish and Greenland Geological Survey Bureau began in 2020, and the two sides signed a memorandum to draw up a plan to jointly conduct field tests and apply for international cooperation projects in the next 1-2 years. At present, the thermal melt heating drill (HotRod) designed by Denmark and Greenland Geological Survey had been tested in the cryogenic laboratory of the Institute for Polar Science and Engineering of Jilin University. In the future, JLU plans to participate in the Danish Arctic scientific investigation season and conduct polar field tests on the pollution-free subglacial lake sampler independently developed.
