The University of Wisconsin-Madison is the world's top polar drilling technology research institution, with a long history of polar drilling research. Jilin school had sent personnel to participate in the academic seminars on polar drilling technology organized by the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the activities of the polar drilling engineering Technical Committee. We carried out close cooperation in deep polar ice core drilling, subglacial bedrock drilling, new drilling tools and processes. Professor Jay Johnson and other well-known experts had been invited to attend academic conferences and exchanges.
