This drill is used in combination with a hot-water ice drilling system to get ice cores at any depth. The hot water is supplied by the same hydraulic hose that is used for the hot-water drilling. 3.25 m long drill includes coring tube, guiding tubes, core catchers and drill head with 40 nozzles 1 mm in diameter. The core barrel (100 mm inner diameter) is 3m long. The hot water passes through three guiding tubes (4mm inner diameter) fixed along outside of the core tube to the drill head.
